In the name of Allah,
the Merciful, the Compassionate
"The Martyr Al-Mulawi Dastakir, May God Have Mercy Upon Him, and His Glorious
Stances
"Praise be to God, Who made us believers and put among us men who fulfill their
promises to Him.
'Of them some have completed their vow (to the extreme), and some (still) wait: but they have never changed (their determination) in the least' [Al-Ahzab, 33:23].
Peace and prayers be upon God's
messenger and worshipper Muhammad, who said: 'The martyr has six blessings from
Allah: He is forgiven from the moment his blood is first shed; he will be shown
his place in Paradise; he will be spared the trial of the grave; and he will be
secure on the Day of the Greatest Terror (the Day of Judgment); there will be
placed on his head a crown of dignity, one ruby of which is better than this
world and all that is in it; he will be married to 72 of the al-hur al-ayn; and
he will be permitted to intercede for 70 of his relatives.' Narrated by Al-Tirmithi,
Ahmad, and Ibn-Majah.
"Peace also be upon his family and companions, who followed his footsteps, took
him as a role model, and performed jihad for the cause of God hoping for
martyrdom in this life and paradise in the afterlife. Peace also be on their
good followers until judgment day. Thereafter, Almighty God has blessed us with
men who give up their precious lives for the cause of God and Islam, taking
stances like those of our great ancestors as a miracle foretold in the saying of
the prophet, peace be upon him: 'My people are like the rain. I do not know
whether its beginning or its ending is better.' Narrated by Al-Tirmithi, on
behalf of Anas, may God be pleased with him.
"We wanted to present such men, who are a reminder of the past and advanced in
status, to the dear readers of Al- Search Term Begin Sumud Search Term End . Our
brother and master, the martyr Al-Mulawi Dastakir, may God have mercy upon him,
has surpassed his peers in knowledge and action; he reached the status of the
martyrs and the righteous. We do not justify anyone to Him as He knows best.
"Birth and Descent
"The martyr Al-Mulawi, may God have mercy upon him, was born in 1397,
corresponding to 1977, in an honorable house in the Nurzay tribe, which is a
famous Pashto tribe. His father was the martyr Haj Asal Khan, son of Haj Fayd
Muhammad Khan, who lived in the village of Shlunij, Bala Murghab District,
Badghis Province, which is situated in northwestern Afghanistan and is
surrounded by Turkmenistan to the north, Ghor Province to the south, Herat
Province to the west, and Faryab Wasarbal Province to the east.
"His Early Life
"Our master the martyr Al-Mulawi, may God have mercy upon him, grew up in a
family of honorable lineage and noble descent. He was raised in the love of the
Book [the Quran] and the Sunnah. From his childhood, he was connected to mosques
and schools of religion. When he was old enough to do a degree, his father, the
martyr Asal Khan, urged him to study theology. He started going to scholars in
his area to learn from them at the elementary stage. Later on, when Dastakir
grew up, he traveled to Helmand Province, then to a Pakistani town called Kawita,
and in 1427 he graduated from a renowned school in Kawita called Shaldrah. The
shaykh of hadith, Al-Hafiz Al-Mulawi Abd-al-Wahid, may God keep him, granted him
a high degree in religious sciences, put upon his head the white turban of honor,
and presented society with a Mujahid Muslim scholar and a good guide. May God
reward both of them.
"His Conduct
"Our master the martyr Al-Mulawi Dastakir, may God have mercy upon him, was
slightly tanned, thin, and of medium height. He had black hair, a long beard,
grey eyes, and a big moustache. He was well-mannered, a pious scholar, a smart
preacher, a brave leader, and a courageous hero. He was affectionate with his
parents, family, and believing brothers. He was tough on God's infidel enemies
and the hypocrites. May God rest his soul and place him in paradise.
"He Left Behind
"Our master the martyr Al-Mulawi Dastakir, may God have mercy upon him, left
behind his elderly mother, wife, and son. Due to his love for jihad, he named
his son, who was about 8 months old when he was martyred, Mujahid. He also left
11 good brothers, as well as a good family and a strong front of thousands of
Mujahid brothers fighting the US enemies of God, their allies, and agents. May
God bring them down.
"His Part in Jihad
"Our master the martyr Al-Mulawi Dastakir, may God have mercy upon him soul, was
young at the time of the Soviet Union's aggression against Afghanistan, so he
did not take part in the battles. However, he lived in a strongly jihadist
family as his father was Haj Asal Khan and his cousin was Matu Akhandzah, who
were among the greatest Mujahids and they were martyred on the same day in that
period. That is why, since his childhood, he had loved jihad in the cause of
God, not to mention his dedication to the service of Islam and Muslims.
"In the age of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, although he was young, he had
a passion for religious sciences. Yet, he could not mix jihad with the
acquisition of knowledge, and he was not allowed to abandon theology for holy
jihad against the widespread corruption at the time.
"When the Crusaders, God's enemies, led by the former US President Bush who
committed crimes against our beloved country, the martyr, may God have mercy
upon him, started taking part in the heated battles when necessary, then
returned to the embrace of the mosque and the schoolyard in order to finish his
studies and get his high degree in religious sciences. His goal was to start
teaching and guide the people to help raise the next generation in the right
manner in order to prepare the youth in terms of knowledge, action, belief, and
conduct, for holy jihad. Almighty God has bestowed on him this great blessing
and made him a preacher, a guide, an educator, and a role model for people to
follow, listen to, and abide by his fatwas and sayings.
"His knowledge, courage, good behavior, and steadfastness were witnessed, and
this paved the way for his leadership of the Al-Mulawi Abd-al-Rahman Front in
Bala Murghab District, Badghis Province. He, may God have mercy upon him,
attacked the convoys, headquarters, and military bases of the enemy in Badghis
Province and observed their every move. His jihadist activities had an important
effect upon awakening the people and strengthening those who were weak of heart.
Due to his heroism, he was appointed a leader of the Higher Emirate. He was made
responsible for Badghis Province and won the title of 'Wali' [ruler] of this
province.
"Our master the martyr Al-Mulawi Dastakir, may God have mercy upon him, was in
all ways a man. God bestowed upon him the qualities of a Muslim leader, that of
being pious, knowledgeable, well-mannered, honest, sagacious, and mature.
Therefore, the youth were attracted to him and the Mujahideen were reunited
through him. God granted him victory in many places, planting fear and terror in
the hearts of his infidel and hypocrite enemies.
"His Heroism
"Among his heroic actions, which received media attention and was regretted by
enemies of different nationalities and colors, and was grieved over by the
ashamed hypocrites, was the Mujahidin Campaign. The number of Mujahideen in the
campaign reached 325 under his wise leadership when it attacked an enemy convoy
on Thursday 27 November 2008. The details of this successful attack were given
in the 30th issue of Al- Search Term Begin Sumud Search Term End magazine by the
leader Al-Mulawi Abd-al-Rahman, one of the contributors to the operation. Also
details were reported to the media on Friday 28 November 2008 by Qari Muhammad
Yusuf (Ahmadi), whereby he said: 'The Mujahideen have ambushed an agent enemy
logistics convoy of 35 military vehicles and logistics trucks in the Akazu area
of Bala Murghab District, Badghis Province.'
"He added that the attack, which lasted around four hours, resulted in severe
losses in the enemy ranks as follows:
1- The death of 49 Afghan soldiers.
2- The capture of 19 soldiers.
3- The injury of a large number.
4- The destruction of eight military tanks.
Also the Mujahideen looted 21
military vehicles, 6 logistics trucks loaded with military supplies, weapons,
and ammunition from the dead soldiers. He added that the Mujahideen jihadist
consultative council would decide the fate of the captured enemy soldiers.
"After the attack, and after the Mujahideen had transferred the looted military
vehicles and ammunition to safe places, US Air Force fighters began bombarding
the area randomly until midnight. During this monstrous bombardment two Mujahids
were martyred, and three more were injured. Also the random bombardment carried
out by the US enemy on residential areas lead to the death of 18 civilians and
the injury of many. Eyewitnesses stated that the enemy's planes bombarded wide
areas of the villages in Bala Murghab District situated near the attack
location, namely the villages of Akazu and Jawinu. Also, according to
eyewitnesses, the bombs from the US planes hit the house of Abd-al-Hamid, a
resident in the area, causing the death of 10 of his family members.
"His Ordeal
"When the agent police force arrested him unarmed in Kandahar in 1427 when he
was on a bus, and they imprisoned him for 10 days without charge and with no
witnesses to confirm that he had taken part in any crime, then God saved him
from the unjust people. Another time he was arrested in Herat Province in Rabi
al-Awwal 1429. Shortly after he was transferred to a prison in Kabul, where he
spent seven months, then God saved him in Shawwal 1429. After that he
immediately returned to his jihadist headquarters in Bala Murghab District to
continue his jihadist activities until he met the Almighty, drenched in his pure
blood, and he was placed in the martyrs' golden line.
"His Martyrdom
"Our master Al-Mulawi Dastakir, may God have mercy upon him, surrendered to
God's will and was placed in the martyrs' golden line. He was martyred on the
dark night of Monday 21 Safar 1430, corresponding to 16 February 2009, in a
surprise bombardment by US fighters of the village of Jawi Janj in Bala Murghab
District, which destroyed the house where he was with his colleagues. Our master
the martyr Al-Mulawi Dastakir was martyred along with nine of his Mujahideen
brothers, getting their sublime wish [martyrdom] granted and, God willing,
resting forever.
'To Allah
We belong, and to Him is our return.' [Al-Baqarah, 2:156]
"Among His Good Traits
"One of his good traits was that Almighty God made him for jihad as He placed in
him many leadership qualities. Among his good traits was that he was fierce with
the Crusader enemies of God and their agents, which is something they fear and
flee from as if escaping from a lion or worse, to the extent that he was listed
on their most wanted list. The enemy paid a lot of money to the hypocrites and
traitors in order to arrest him. But they lost all their money, because they
were never able to get him. So, they carried out this cowardly attack and killed
him in his sleep.
"Among his glorious deeds was that the enemies of God considered his martyrdom
good news, worthy of celebration. Later on, they reluctantly admitted that he
was behind the increasing jihadist activities, whereby the Mufakirat al-Islam
[website] is cited on Monday 21 Safar 1430, corresponding to 16 February 2009,
as saying: 'US sources stated today that nine Taliban Mujahideen were killed
including Mullah Ghulam Dastakir, the regional commander of the Taliban, in an
air raid by the occupation forces targeting a house in northwestern Afghanistan.
The US statement attributed the increase in resistance attacks during the last
few months in Badghis Province to Mullah Dastakir. The statement further pointed
out that last November he prepared an attack on an Afghan Army convoy, which
lead to the death of...'
