Ustadz Abu Bakar Ba'asyir Is The Mentor of the Nation

It is very fitting for Ustadz Abu Bakar Ba'asyir to be called the Mentor of the Nation, the label “terrorist” is very far from the truth, meaning Ustadz Abu is not a terrorist, all those associated with it are sheer nonsense. The proof, from long since the police has never managed to prove the allegations.
Ustadz Abu Bakar Ba'asyir could be made as the teacher or educator of the nation at least on the basis of the following eight grounds:
First: Ustadz Abu Bakar Ba'asyir is an adviser to the nation and an Islamic fighter. He consistently advises the president and the nation of Indonesia to return to Islam. Not only that, he also offers the Islamic Shari'ah as a source of solutions to solve the various problems in Indonesia.
Second: Ustadz Abu Bakar Ba'asyir is a true Nationalist. Not a pseudo-Nationalist in the style of the officials which are only shown in the face but committing treason by selling the assets of the nation to the western countries. He loves this motherland very much. This is evidenced by his attitude which is anti-imperialist. America becomes the number one enemy for him, because the country of Uncle Sam is colonialistic in characteristic by scarping the various natural resources of Indonesia. This attitude is much different from our president who bootlicks and makes America a second country for him and declared that "I love America with all its faults."
Third: Ustadz Abu Bakar Ba'asyir is anti-corruption, he is someone who is zuhud towards the worldly life. The Pesantren (Islamic Boarding School) that he established does not serve as a field to make himself rich. This reality is very difficult to find in this age in Indonesia, where the owners of educational institutions usually make their institutions as a business tool and money-producing machine.
Fourth: Ustadz Abu Bakar Baasyir is anti-nepotism. The Pesantren that he established is not used as a kingdom for his family, in fact his son instead opened up a new pesantren in Magetan which is not the pesantren owned by his father. Although greatly respected, his sons also do not automatically get the key positions in his pesantren, but they are placed appropriately according to the levels of their ability and collaborative efforts in building the pesantren.
Fifth: Ustadz Abu Bakar Ba'asyir is someone with a high intellect. He was able to answer all the questions thrown at him with precision and power like what he poured out in his pledoi (written document that refutes the charges being presented by the Prosecution) and memorandum of exception. All this is thanks to his intelligence and intellect in the field of politics and law, with his argument, he was able to lessen the penalty put on himself at the time of the Orba (New Order) twice from 20 years to 4 years imprisonment. And even in his trial in the case of terrorism and Bali bombing charges, he was finally cleared of any charges by the Supreme Court.
Sixth: Ustadz Abu Bakar Ba'asyir is a true ulama' and observer of education. He is a very good citizen. In fact, even when he was in jail he still made time to educate and establish a "pesantren" for the inmates in the prison, which later was given the name “pesantren Attaubah” aimed at fostering the detainees so that they have the akhlaqul karimah. The phenomenon in prison after the establishment of the pesantren was indeed remarkable, seeing many prisoners who finally woke up and became closer to religion.
Seventh: Ustadz Abu Bakar Ba'asyir is an observer of the dhuafa (destitute) people. It cannot be doubted that he always help the poor, the orphans and anyone who needs his help. It is not rare among the dhuafas to come to him and ask for help and he would help them with all his power. Indeed, there are many stories about this we can hear from the people who are always together with him.
Eighth: Ustadz Abu Bakar Ba'asyir is also a clean and true politician. He is a figure who really loves this country. Due to that he established the Jama’ah Ansarut Tauhid (JAT) as an organization for the people's struggles, not establishing a party which all this while has been proven to be pointless in struggling for the people's aspirations.
All the above eight grounds deserve to become the reasons to say that Ustadz Abu Bakar Ba'asyir is a role model for the entire nation, be they Muslims or otherwise. The police and the court should not take hasty decisions, that it can be detected that all this is just a dramatic play court intrusted by foreign elements. And we make do’a so that Ustadz Abu Bakar Ba'asyir will be free to return to society and spread resplendent values.
