American Report: Mossad Systematically Killed 350 Nuclear Scientists And 200 Iraqi Academics A report published by the American Iraqi newspaper that the Mossad and together with American forces in Iraq has been able so far killed 350 Iraqi nuclear scientists and more than 200 university professor in the various scientific knowledge. Numerous reports for many months have stated that with collaboration from American occupation forces, Israel’s espionage apparatus, Mossad, slaughtered at least 530 Iraqi scientists and academic professors.

Persistent Israeli hit squads against Iraqi scientists had been active in Iraq since April 2003, but the latest chapter was uncovered on Tuesday, 14 June 2005 by the Palestine Information Center which, citing a report compiled by the United States Department of State and intended for the American President, stated that Israeli and foreign agents sent by Mossad, in cooperation with United States, to Iraq, killed at least 350 Iraqi scientists and more than 200 university professors and academic personalities. According to the report, which was referred to the U.S. president George W. Bush, Mossad agents had been operating in Iraq with the aim of liquidating Iraqi nuclear and biology scientists, among other scientists, and prominent university professors. That was after the U.S. failed to persuade those scientists to cooperate with or work for it.

"Israeli commandos had been operating on Iraqi territory for more than a year, the focus of their activities being the assassination of Iraqi scientists and intellectuals. The Zionists resorted to the large-scale assassination campaign after the failure of American efforts that started immediately after the American occupation of Iraq, aimed at attracting a number of Iraqi scientists to cooperate and go to work in the United States,” The Palestine Information Center quoted the report as saying.

"Some Iraqi scientists were forced to work in American research centers; however, the majority of them refused to cooperate in certain fields and fled the U.S. to other countries", it further stated. The Pentagon agreed with the suggestion of Mossad, which believed that the best way to get rid of those scientists was to "physically eliminate them". The American security service provided Israel with complete biographies on the Iraqi scientists and academics to facilitate killing them, the report said, adding that the Mossad campaign targeting Iraqi scientists is still underway.

There is no investigation. Dr. Isam Al-Rawi says the goal of these assassinations is the eventual destruction of Iraq. A former general in the Iraqi army, who would only give his initials, A.R., said the killing of professionals was intended to have a long-term impact.

"Occupation forces focused on Iraqi scientists who worked in military plants, they arrested many of them, and some of them were assassinated," he told IPS. "That's why Iraqi scientists sent an appeal for help over the Internet. They are asking the UN to help them with their situation in Iraq and to save them from the arrests and raids by occupation forces."

There is a clear design behind the killing, the former general said. "Many of them get killed near their houses or on the way to their work, and others get kidnapped, and we find their dead bodies in the street. When you follow these crimes you will be sure that the criminals have special training and their purpose is to make Iraq empty of any professionals."

It is not just the U.S. forces that Iraqis blame for these crimes. They see also an influence from Iran. Dr. Isam Al-Rawi, suggests that Iran is involved in assassinating educated and influential Iraqis. "Really we don't know exactly who they are, but I am sure these criminals are not normal and they get training in other countries, they know very well what they are doing. Their purpose is to destroy Iraq from the inside."

"This is tyranny, we live in the worst tyranny in all of human history," Dr. Al-Rawi further said. "Every hour in Iraq there are killings, kidnappings, arrests, house raids and more. And all of that is because of occupation and our weak government. When I say that I don't mean Saddam was good leader. No he also was bad but Iraqi streets were clean from these crimes, especially the crimes against professionals." Al-Rawi said, "I charge occupation forces and the Iran government because both want to destroy Iraq. The Iraqi minister of interior helps Iran to do their crimes, and the Iraqi government hides the statistics of assassinations, but we have our statistics." The Shia-led government in Iraq is close to Iranian religious and political leaders.

Martyr Rawi arranged many seminars and sypmosium inside and outside of Iraq. He participated in many scientific and religious conferences. Most of scientific, cultural, da’wa and religious conferences, meetings were outside of Iraq.

Some of these important programs:

and a number of scientific and academic institutions.

Martyr Rawi represented the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) in a number of forums, conferences and meetings. He visited Turkey, Lebanon, Russia, Libya and other countries as representative of AMSI.

He participated in the meeting with Sadr Movement which followed the tragic events of Samarra. al-Rawi also cooperated with al-Khalisi School to solve some problems and crises.

Professor Rawi studied on several scientific issues like sedimentary rocks and metals in the university.

Those universities:

1- Iraq - Baghdad University
2- Iraq - Irbil Saladin University
3- Libya - Sibha University
4- Religious and cultural activities in Istanbul
and many activities outside of Iraq after compelled and immigrated.

He was martyred on December 2006 in Baghdad, Insya Allah. The killers escaped in a car after gunning down Isam al-Rawi. The gunmen drove in front of al-Rawi's car, forced it to stop, then sprayed it with automatic weapons fire, said an official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he feared reprisal.

About 180 professors have been murdered and at least 3,250 have fled Iraq since the outbreak of widespread sectarian violence, the Higher Education Ministry said, but al-Rawi refused to leave, even though like the others he was threatened many times to leave Iraq. He felt that he was mostly needed to unveil all the crimes committed against his colleagues by pro-government militias including Badr and Jaish Al-Mahdi and other security gangs. His death is a great loss.
