KEBUMEN,
Indonesia – At last, the janaza of Yuli
Harsono 33, who was shot to death by the Densus 88 in
Klaten some time ago, in conjunction with the arrest of
Abdullah Sunata, could be buried in the Islamic way. After
a nine-hour journey from the Kramat Jati Polri Hospital to
Kebumen, at 08:30 hour, Tuesday, 29th June 2010, the
janaza arrived in Dukuh Duwet village, Kebumen.
Hundreds of sympathizers had been waiting at the house,
who were mostly youths from a number of towns, including
Solo, Jogja and Semarang. Those hundreds of youth were
waiting in front of Yuli's parents house, shouting
takbeer repeatedly while receiving the janaza.
After that they were allowed to go inside and witness the
janaza. "The Janaza is smiling!", yelled
one of the sympathizers after coming out from the house.
Next, it was followed by a prayer for the janaza,
which had to be done alternately for five times. Some
sympathizers chose not to participate in offering the
prayer, those who did not perform the prayer considered
Yuli Harsono as having died in the state of war that the
solatul janaza was unnecessary.
After the solatul janaza, the casket was then
carried by those youths in their hundreds, on foot,
heading for the burial location which was 3 km away. "Allahu
Akbar! The police are kafir!", yelled the youths,
whereas there were dozens of police personnel's at the
burial location, whether in official dressings or
plain-clothed.
Finally, at 10:00 hour, the funeral procession was
complete and closed with a do'a by an Islamic
figure of Kebumen from the FTJ (Front Toriqul Jihad)
named Mr. Daldiri, who offered do'a while
shedding tears, as well as reminding the youths to not
forget struggling and be strengthened by Allah.
Blood Still Flowing From Yuli's Wounds
KEBUMEN, Indonesia
– At least, there were four bullet holes on the body of
Yuli Harsono who died in the shooting incident with the
Densus 88 in Klaten last week, on Wednesday afternoon,
23rd June 2010, to be exact. The moment the janaza
of Yuli arrived at his parents' residence in Dukuh Duwet,
Kebumen, the casket of the janaza was opened in
order to get a view the wounds on the body of Yuli.
Before the shrouding cloth was uncovered, Yuli's right
chest was still discharging blood that seeped through
the white shroud which enveloped his body. Then, the
shroud on part of the leg was uncovered and bullet scars
that had been stitched were visible on the right knee,
the kneecap was in a broken condition and had already
been stitched. Then, on the right thigh, there were two
bullet scars, these wounds had also been stitched, but
the traces of holes and black bruises were still
visible.
Wife of Yuli Harsono, Siti Istihanah (33) who is a midwife looked so strong, she uncovered the shroud at the neck, autopsy incision and suture marks were visible, these wounds were still bleeding. Two sons of Yuli who are still small, Ahwan Ayyas (8) and Hilal Syuhada (2) also looked at the janaza of their father without crying. Only Yuli Harsono's mother, Martiyem (60) appeared not that strong as she fainted when seeing the janaza of his second son who is an ex-member of the TNI (National Armed Forces of Indonesia) which he joined in 1997.
Yuli's son, Ahwan Ayyas (8) is currently studying in one of the boarding schools in Surakarta that specialized in memorization Al Qur'an (Ma'had Tahfidzul Qur'an for children), in third grade of Primary School.
